Source for notated version: O'Reilly [O'Neill]. It is not known which 'O'Reilly' was O'Neill's source for the tune. However, the O'Reilly that receives the most attention in his Irish Minstrels and Musicians (1913) is blind piper Martin O'Reilly, of County Galway, of whom there is a biographical sketch on pp. 239-240, and a half-tone photograph.
