DANCER'S DELIGHT, THE (Taitneam an Rinceoir). AKA and see "Fletcher's Delight." Irish, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B (O'Neill/1850 & 1001): AA'BB' (O'Neill/Krassen). The tune is in Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883) as "Fletcher's Delight."
Source for notated version: James O'Neill [O'Neill]. Chicago police sergeant and fiddler James O'Neill was originally from County Down. He was a skilled amateur player, was well schooled in music, had a good ear and was an excellent transcriber. He served as Capt. O'Neill's collaborator for his early volumes.
