PARTING, THE. Irish, Slow Air. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by County Leitrim fiddler Charlie Lennon [1] (b. 1938) in 1985, written for pipes and strings. It is part of his "Emigrant Suite," consisting of "Gathering (2) (The)," "Piper's Turn (The)," "Round the house and mind the dresser" and "Parting (The)."
