WEE PADDY. Canadian, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD’. Composed by Nova Scotia piper Barry Shears in remembrance of his friend Bill Magennis, whose nickname in his World War II commando unit as “Wee Paddy.” Magennis was a former Pipe Major of Canada’s Black Watch, and died in 1988.
