Back to Drunken Hornpipe
DRUNKEN HORNPIPE. Scottish, "Old" or Triple Hornpipe (3/2 time). From the MacFarlane manuscript (Edinburgh, 1740), a set of three volumes written for Walter McFarlan by David Young, containing both Lowland and Highland Scottish music set for fiddle. See also the related "Sailors are all at the bar (The)" and "Rolling Hornpipe (The)."
