Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A hornpipe of unknown provenance. It was published in the 1880's in Scotland as "[[Marquis of Lorne (1)]]." Sligo fiddler Michael Coleman (1891-1945) recorded it as the second tune in a set called "McDermott's" (see "[[McDermott's Hornpipe (3)]]."  The Chieftains called it "Newry Hornpipe" on their recording "Water from the Well" (2000).
