GILLE DONN, AN (Brown Haired Lad, The). Scottish, Lament (4/4 time). D Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The melody was collected by musicologist Margaret Shaw in the early 1930's on the outer Hebrides island of South Uist.
