GLORIES OF SPRING, THE (Gloire na n-Earraig). Irish, Hornpipe. G Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. In a 1906 letter to Alfred Percival Graves (printed in "A Few Gossipy Notes" in the Journal of the Irish Folk Song Society, London, O'Neill wrote that he thought he adapted the tune from a melody he heard in the theater.
