MRS. KELSO OF DANKEITH’S REEL. Scottish, Reel. E Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). Composed by Biography:John French (1752-1803) of Cumnock, Ayrshire. Mrs. Kelso was nee Margaret Mowatt, daughter of the provost of Aberdeen, who married Capt. John Kelso Esq. of Dankeith in 1758. Captain Kelso died in 1781, but she survived until 1814. Dankeith was the family estate in South Ayrshire.
