HONEYMAN'S (HORNPIPE). Scottish, Hornpipe. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BBCC. Composed by William C. Honeyman (1845-1919), a fiddle tune composer and author of an influential tutor for Scottish fiddlers. In Honeyman's tutor this melody was characterized as an "Easy Melody for Setting the Hand to B Flat," and the "Honeyman's Hornpipe" title is Nigel Gatherer's name for it. Honeyman was a contemporary of J.
