DISSEMBLING LOVE. AKA and see "Lost Heart (The)". English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABBB. The melody was first printed by London publisher John Playford in his English Dancing Master [1] (1651, p. 40, "Longways for six") and was retained in the long-running series through the 8th edition of 1690. Playford gives "The Lost Heart" as an alternate title.
