BRIG, THE. AKA - "Da Brig." Shetland, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Unst, Shetland, cooper and fiddler John Stickle (1875-1957) after seeing a sailing ship, a briganteen (hence 'brig'), pass the island.
