BROAD RUN PICNIC. Old-Time, Breakdown. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The 'A' part has an irregular measure. Named for a river in Fauquier County, Virginia.

Source for notated version: John Ashby [Phillips]. Ashby (1915-1979) learned the tune from his uncle Joseph. The family has been in Fauguier County for many generations, and the fiddling tradition continues with John's son, Skip.
