F(H)UISEOG, AN. AKA and see "Skylark (The)." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by New York fiddler James Morrison, originally from County Sligo, who recorded it in 1935. He paired it with "Maud Millar." However, it is common in modern session playing to pair "The Skylark" with "Roaring Mary" (in that order), after accordion player Joe Cooley who popularized it in his 1963 set "Tulla Reel"/"The Skylark"/"Roaring Mary."

Source for notated version: piper Matthew Tiernan/Maitiu Mac Tighearnain (Ireland) [Breathnach].

Printed sources: Breathnach (CRÉ I), 1963; No. 156, p. 62.
