Back to Lady in the Dark
LADY IN THE DARK. English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). G Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA. The tune dates to 1657 when it was published in London by John Playford in the Third Edition of The Dancing Master (p. 120). The tune was retained in subsequent editions, through the Eight Edition of 1690, after which it was dropped from the series.
