A note in Marshall's volume reads: "This good Old Reel is inserted at the particular request of the Duke of Gordon." It was not one of Marshall's compositions, but was rather a favorite tune of Alexander, the 4th Duke, Marshall's employer. The tune has similarities to Johnny Wilmot's "[[Hughie Shorty's Reel]]."
