There were a number of tunes in a varity of meters that went by the title "Dutch Skipper." All appear to be based on stage dances in imitation of dutch steps. Source for notated version: William Vickers' music manuscript [1] collection, Northumberland, 1770. Unfortunately, little is known of Vickers.
