MONEY MUSK [4]. American, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle) AABB'CC'. The opening three bars are similar to J. Scott Skinner's "Millhills." The first strain is irregular, having nine measures, the last of which is in 2/4 time. Whatever proclivities to "Money Musk (1)" the antecedents to this tune may have had, it is unrecognizable in this version, although "Money Musk (4)" retains some rhythmic similarity.

Source for notated version: Bruce Greene with Jim Taylor [Phillips].

Printed sources: Phillips (Traditional American Fiddle Tunes), vol. 1, 1994; p. 157.

Recorded sources: PearlMae Music 004-2, Jim Taylor - The Civil War Collection (1996).
