MASON LADDIE, THE. AKA and see "Mason's Apron." Scottish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part (Aird). Similar to Alexander McGlashan's "Braes of Glenorchy (1)," and "Isla Reel (The)." The melody was first published in 1780 by Robert Ross in A Choice Collection of Scots Reels or Country Dances, Edinburgh.
