In addition to its appearance in Daniel Wright's 1740 county dance collection (printed in London by John Johnson), the tune and dance instructions appear in John Walsh's Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing Master, 3rd Edition (London, 1735, p. 95, and the subsequent edition of 1749, p. 95, as "Albemarls March"). Johnson printed it again in his Choice Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 1), c. 1750.
