The tune and dance, as with many of the pieces in Thomas Davis's 1748 collection, was reprinted in London publisher John Johnson's Choice Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 5 (1750), and, several years later, in David Rutherford's Rutherford's Compleat Collection of 200 of the Most Celebrated Country Dances (where the dance is attributed to "Mr. Rose").
