LOVAT'S RESTORATION (Fhuair Mac Shimi 'n oighreachd). Scottish, Strathspey. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Fraser): AA'B (Alburger, Athole). The title concerns Scotland's Fraser of Lovat family, and has to do with the celebration and festivity which attended General Fraser's election to Parliament, which happened even before his estates (forfeited in 1745) were returned to him (Alburger).
