QUICK STEP 25th REGIMENT [1]. Scottish, March (2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was published in London as a country dance called "Europa" by the Thompsons. It was entered into the large turn of the 19th century music manuscript collection of 37th Regiment fifer John Buttery as "Quick Step to the 52nd Regiment," but he may have transposed the numbers in his title from Aird's "25th Regiment" name.
