DOWN AMONG THE BANKS OF ROSES. Scottish, Air (4/4 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. Boston publisher Elias Howe included the melody in his section of Scottish tunes. Indeed, it is an adaptation of the first strain of the reel "Blue Bonnets over the Border (2)" AKA "Scots Bonnet."
