CROOKED REEL (An Ríl Cam). AKA and see "Follow Me Down to Carlow (2)," "Miss Murphy (2)," "Bonnie Annie (3)." Irish, Reel. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The "Miss Murphy" title is found in the Goodman Manuscripts in the Library of Trinity College, Dublin. In Scotland, as well as some parts of Ireland, the tune is known as "Bonnie Annie (3)" and can be found in Aird's Selection of Scotch, English, Irish and Foreign Airs (No. 548) and the Glen Collection of Scottish Dance Music (p. 23), among others. There is also a jig version of the melody, and the song "Follow me down to Carlow" is sung to this air.
