REEL DES CINQ DEMIARDS. AKA and see "Quadrille des Sans-coeur," "Quadrille St-Félicien," "Reel des oignons (1)," "Reel St-Félicien." French-Canadian, Reel (cut or 2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. "Reel des cinq demiards" was recorded in 1932 in Montreal by fiddler Joseph Allard (1873-1947), released again a year later by Victor records under the title "Reel des oignons (1)." Allard re-recorded the tune himself in 1933 and called it "Quadrille St-Félicien" AKA "Quadrille des Sans-coeur." Jean Duval [1] believes the tune may be one of Allard's original compositions.
