BAKER NUMBER TWO. AKA - "Baker No. 2." American, Schottische or Two-Step (cut time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. The tune was recorded in October, 1941, by folklorist Vance Randolph (1892-1980) from the playing of fiddler Lon Jordan, of Farmington, Arkansas. Jordan was born around 1876, although information about him is almost non-existent. However, Jordan recorded some forty tunes and songs for Randolph, and was a folklore informant for him.
