Source for notated version: - Kimble County, central Texas, fiddler Thomas Jefferson "Duck" Wootan (1882-1964) [Milliner & Koken]. His name was originally spelled "Wootan", but the family name was changed when his son entered military service, with the spelling "Wooten" ending up on the paperwork.
