"Fish on a Snag" is east Kentucky fiddler biography:John Salyer's version of the well-known American fiddle tune "Mississippi Sawyer (1)." The first strain is 'crooked'; seven measures long with one measure in 3/2 time, but the second strain is 'square'. The title is idiosyncratic to Salyer and appears nowhere else.
