JEMMY JOHNSON'S WHERRY. AKA - "Jemmy Johnson's Whurry." English, Air (2/4 time). England, Northumberland. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. The song [Roud 3061] (tune with one stanza) appears in the c. 1812 music manuscript collection of Northumbrian musician John Bell (1783-1864), but was written by Thomas Thompson (d. 1816) and published in Newcastle chapbooks.

So with some very canny chields its on the hop an merry,
Aw thought aw'd make a vayage to Shields in Jemmy Johnson's Wherry.
