Back to Caravat and Shanavest (The)


CARAVAT AND SHANAVEST, THE. Irish, Hornpipe. D Aeolian. Standard tuning. AABB. Caravat and Shanavest were the names of two fighting factions in and around Co. Kilkenny, about the beginning of the 1800's. See note for "Shanavest and Caravat (1)" for explanation.
