CHARMING FAIR, THE. English, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). England, North-West. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Instructions for a country dance called "Charming Fair" was printed in John Trumbull's publication Gentleman's and Lady's Companion in Norwich and Stonington, Connecticutt, in 1798.
