DERMOT GROGAN'S (JIG) [2]. AKA and see "Luaithreadan's Jig." D Major: G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A version of Junior Casey's "Luaithreadan's Jig." Button accordion and flute player Dermot Grogan (1958-2006) was from Derrytavrane, Kilkelly, northeast Mayo. He was highly regarded on both instruments, and, while never recording an album of his own, he was nevertheless an influential musician, especially in New York, where he spent some 5 years prior to his terminal illness.
