Back to Ellis Knowles Hornpipe
ELLIS KNOWLES HORNPIPE. English, Hornpipe. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A rather difficult hornpipe to finger on the fiddle, from the Ellis Knowles ms. (where it is an untitled hornpipe, No. 40).
Source for notated version: the Ellis Knowles Manuscript, a selection of tunes compiled c.1845-48 probably in Radcliffe, Lancashire, England.
