Back to Frank Sutherland


FRANK SUTHERLAND. Canadian, Reel. Canada, Cape Breton. A Major ('A' part) & E Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Scottish fiddler-composer J. Scott Skinner (1843-1927) for Frank Sutherland, the spouse of his adopted daughter, Jeannie Skinner. Jeannie was Skinner's piano accompanist from the 1880's on. A daughter, Jessie, is recorded as having been born to the couple in 1902.
