Back to Gatineau Reel


GATINEAU REEL. AKA - "Gatineau's Reel." Canadian, Reel. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Peter Dawson, born in British Columbia into a family of fiddlers (his father and grandfather played). Dawson toured both Canada and the United States in the 1940's and 1950's, and settled in Ottawa in the 1960's, where he ran a violin shop.
