GENERAL WEMYSS OF WEMYSS. Scottish, Reel. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Nathaniel Gow. See note for "General Wemyss" for more on the person of the title. "General Wemyss," a strathspey, also has been called "General Wemyss of Wemyss," but is a different tune than Nathaniel Gow's reel.
