GLEANNTÁN REEL [1], THE. AKA - "Glountane Reel." AKA and see "Glentown," "O'Keeffe's Dream." Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. A version of "MacDonald's Reel," "McDonald's Reel," "Lord MacDonald's Reel", AKA "Slanty Gart," Leather Britches." The "Glenntan" title given here is a variation of the title for the tune used by fiddlers Denis Murphy and Julia Clifford, on the 1969 album "Star Above the Garter," where it was called "Glentaun Reel (The)."
