Back to Golden Tresses (1)
GOLDEN TRESSES [1]. American, Hornpipe, Schottische or Jig. B Flat Major (Cole): C Major (Phillips). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Can be used as a Clog" (Ryan's). The tune is set as a jig by collector Ed Berbaum, and in Stacy Phillips' 1995 collection, noted from the playing of itinerant Pennsylvania fiddler Jehile Kirkhuff, and as a hornpipe or schottische in Ryan's Mammoth/Cole's 1000.
