Back to Guard House (The)


GUARD HOUSE, THE. AKA and see "Soldier's Dance," "Marchioness (The)," "Hullichan Jig (The)," "Chelmsford Races." English, Scottish; Jig. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune goes back to the 18th century, first appearing in a Skillern collection of 1776 (London).
