Back to Hawick Lasses


HAWICK LASSES. Scottish, Reel. D Mixolydian/Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Robert Pringle and originally published in his Collection of Reels, Strathspeys & Jigs (1801). The tune also appears in the Shand Collection. Hawick [1] is town in the Teviotdale area of the southeast Borders region of the country.
