Back to Illumination--February 1781 (The)
ILLUMINATION - 9th FEBRUARY 1781, THE. Scottish, Reel. G Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by William Marshall (1748-1833), it first appears in his 1781 collection (p. 8). The title refers to an item in the liturgy of the Episcopal Church, to which Marshall staunchly subscribed.
