Back to Irish Minuet (An)


IRISH MINUET, AN. Irish, Single Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The 'B' part is the same as one of the parts in "Oíche Nollag" (Christmas Eve) and "There's nae luck aboot the house (1)."

Source for notated version: "Sent to me by Mr. Ormond Ossian Flanagan of Tannersville, Greene County, New York. Noted by Miss Emer Eillen Flanagan from the singing of Daniel Shevlin (an Irishman) living in the same place" [Joyce].
