J. SCOTT SKINNER [1] (THE STRATHSPEY KING). Scottish, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Aberdeenshire fiddler and composer J. Murdoch Henderson (1902-1972) in 1933, in honor of the renowned Scots fiddler-composer J. Scott Skinner [1] (1843-1927). Murdoch also named a strathspey composition in Skinner's honor (see J.Scott Skinner (2)").
