JOAN MACDONALD. AKA - "Miss Joan MacDonald." Canadian, Reel. Canada, Cape Breton. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Dan R. MacDonald for Joan MacDonald, who, like Dan R., was a member of The Five MacDonald Fiddlers . Joan was the pianist for the group and was a composer in her own right ("Sweetness of Mary (The)"). She married, and became known as Joan MacDonald Boes.
