Back to Mr. Garden Junior of Troup's Strathspey


MR. GARDEN JUNIOR (OF TROUP’S) STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. One of several melodies composed by Kirkmichael, Perthshire, fiddler Robert Petrie in honor of the Garden family. It was included in his 2nd Collection of Strathspey Reels and Country Dances (1796, p. 4), a volume dedicated to his patron and employer, Mrs. Garden of Troup.
