MRS. GARDEN OF TROUP [2]. Scottish, Reel. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by the well known Scottish fiddle/composer Robert Petrie, who wrote several tunes for members of the Garden family. The tune appears in his Second Collection, dedicated to Mrs. Garden. Like William Marshall, Petrie labored for his patrons in an other than musical position, in his case as a gardener.
