Back to Wood-Pecker (The)


WOOD-PECKER, THE. Scottish, Air (cut time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB.

Source for notated version: the William Mackie manuscript collection, Aberdeen, early 19th century. Mackie was a Highland and Scottish small-pipes player, whose manuscript contains sections for both insturments, as well as what appears to be a section of flute or fiddle tunes.
