HIGHLAND WHISKEY. AKA - "Highland Whisky Strathspey." Scottish, Slow Strathspey. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Honeyman, Surenne): AAB (Athole, Balmoral, Gow, Hunter, Kerr, Martin, Skye). Composed by Scottish fiddler Niel Gow (1727-1807) on the occasion of the brief banning in 1799 of the distilling of whiskey.
