Back to Honorable Mrs. Maule of Panmure's Favorite (The)


HONORABLE MRS. MAULE OF PANMURE'S FAVORITE, THE. Scottish, Air (6/8 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Nathaniel Gow (1763-1831) for one of his primary patrons. A companion air is "Honorable Mr. Ramsay Maule's Favorite (The)." The air was copied by Scottish musician James Webster into his music manuscript collection of 1831-1839 (held a Univ. of Aberdeen).
